Friends of Fuo 2 Inc, is working alongside the Fuo AME Zion Basic school community in Tamale, Ghana to strengthen the learning environment one classroom at a time.
Through the generosity of donors, and partners, students who once sat on classroom floor now have desks, learning materials, and essential supplies that support their education
Just $60 provides a dual desk built locally in Tamale, seating two students who would otherwise learn while sitting on the classroom floor.

FIELD UPDATES
Our work is guided by ongoing communication with educators and community memebers in Tamale who share updates, photos, and videos from the school
The classroom desks are built locally in Tamale. The first desks were crafted by Emmanuel Dogbe Dogbatse, and today the work continues through local fabricator Elikplimi Abormegah. Producing the desks locally ensures they meet the needs of the school while supporting skilled craftsmen in the community.
Bringing Color, Creativity, and Joy to the Classroom
We are honored to partner with local artists Elikplimi Abormegah and Yussif Muksina Suhuyini of Tamale, Ghana, to transform our kindergarten classrooms into vibrant, inspiring spaces where learning comes alive. Their murals will spark imagination, confidence, and joy in our youngest students. In the Pre-K/Nursery classroom, one mural will be outlined and completed by the art class—giving students the chance to leave their own mark on the space they learn in each day. This is more than art. It is a space where children feel seen, inspired, and excited to learn.
MEET THE COMMUNITY
Fuo AME Zion Basic School serves students from Nursery through Junior High School in Tamale, Ghana. The school is led by dedicated teachers who continue to educate and encourage their students despite limited resources.
The students arrive each day ready to learn. They remain commited to guiding them. Families in the community deeply value education and the opportunities it can create for their children.
Friends of Fuo 2 Inc. works in partnership with this community, responding to needs identified by local educators and helping provide resources that strengthen the learning environment.
